This application uses the Process Manager under System 7.0 to monitor and to a limited extent, have control over 7.0 processes. It monitors CPU & memory usage and can be used to bring to front or quit applications & background tasks through a simple pop-up menu. Multiple processes can be selected and be quit or brought to the front. It also TRIES to hide processes (hide all the windows of a particular process) ala the process menu, but this doesn't work quite reliably yet.
It was originally written as a simple tool for killing off background apps written for 7.0 and things just got out of hand from there.
Time: is the amount of CPU time the process has run
Hog: is the percentage of time that process has received in the last 5 seconds or so.
Free: is the amount of free memory left in that processes heap.
BUGS
-----
Fatal Bug Note!!: there were stray regions being created in versions before d11. this would eventually fragment the heap to an extreme (and make it look much like my stomach feels right now after eating that second burrito), causing big time crashes. Avoid these early versions at all cost!
dctb bug: because I use a dctb in Task-It, the WDEF & CDEF colors of the Task-It window will not always match what the Color cdev says it should be. This should be fixed in the next beta of 7.0 also (I hope!).
